Home Your Facility Using ENEPCS® Reports Resources More Information About Us FAQs
ENEPCS® is customized by the caregivers in your organization to reflect actual workload requirements rather than using pre-set standards. Caregivers actively participate in the development of the system and in the ongoing monitoring of its effectiveness. In most cases, a quick and obvious revitalization of the registered nurse’s professional accountability for interventions and outcomes occurs. The customizing process is facilitated by an on-site consultant from Kathy Malloch & Associates who will help you and your organization:
  1. Develop clinical documentation standards for the following service areas: acute inpatient, women and infants, behavioral health, pediatrics, and event-based (such as PACU, emergency, outpatient)

  2. Identify required caregiver roles

  3. Define your organization's expected variance actions

  4. Identify shift lengths

  5. Assign patient care area names

  6. Assign users to nine user security levels
The customizing process typically occurs over 4-6 weeks and requires the availability of a design team of staff nurses, leaders and IT resource staff.
